Special Interest In Restorative & Implant Dentistry, BDent Sc DipClinDent

After graduating from Trinity College Dublin Aislinn worked in Private Practice in London for four years. On her return to Dublin she joined Cornelscourt Dental becoming a joint partner with  Dr  David Whitaker in 2003  and principal dentist following his retirement in 2013. 

From her initial interest in Aesthetic Dentistry she has expanded her training into implant dentistry , radiology and digital dentistry . Cornelscourt has now become a multidisciplinary centre with dentists specialising in particular aspects of dentistry which allows a wider service to be given to patients .  

Aislinn completed an advanced course in aesthetic dentistry with Dr Mike Wise in London , and obtained a Diploma in Clinical Dentistry from Trinity College in 2001. In 2013 she was awarded a certificate in Implant dentistry following completion of the IFPDC implant course . 

In 2021 she obtained a Certificate in CBCT Radiology from Kings College London and is currently undertaking a masters in Implant Dentistry. 

Aislinn is a member of ITI International Team for Implantology and became a Fellow of the ICD International College of Dentists in 2019 . 

Endodontist, BDS (NUI) MFDS (RCPSG) MClinDent Endodontology (UCL Eastman)

Jane graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from University College Cork in 2017 where she was awarded the American Association of Endodontists Certificate prize in her final year for receiving the highest achievement in clinical Endodontics. Upon graduation, she worked in a general dental practice in Dublin for two years and during this time, she completed her membership examinations with the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS) in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Glasgow.

She returned to Cork University Dental School and Hospital in 2019 to take up a role as Senior House Officer in Restorative Dentistry, where she had a keen interest in endodontics. She went on to complete an intense two year, full-time Masters of Clinical Dentistry (MClinDent) in Endodontology at the Eastman Dental Institute, University College London. Jane has a very gentle manner and aims to provide the highest standard of treatment and a comfortable experience to all her patients.

Tim is a Consultant Orthodontist and Senior Lecturer at the Dublin Dental University Hospital, Trinity College Dublin. He offers private consultations and orthodontic treatment for children and adults at Cornelscourt Dental Practice. He prides himself in the quality of his clinical care, using a range of fixed and removable braces including cosmetic tooth coloured braces and Invisalign clear aligners. Tim has a keen interest in early orthodontic management strategies to avoid complex problems at a later stage and combining orthodontics with aesthetic dentistry to achieve optimum smile results.

General Dentist, BA BDent Sc

Hi I am Clodagh Scanlan, one of the general dentist here in Cornelscourt Dental practice. I qualified with honours from University College Cork winning the Dental Council’s “Best Professionalism Award” in my final year. After graduating, I moved to London and gained invaluable experience in all aspect of dentistry. While in the UK I have continued to learn and develop my skills, I completed my Membership exams to the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. I also have completed a postgraduate certificate in the management of Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry with Shiraz Khan. I am also currently doing a restorative dentistry masters with the University of Edinburgh.

As much as I love training and developing my real love of dentistry comes from my patients. I promise to provide high quality treatment, conservative and minimally invasive treatment to each patient, that is focused on your needs and comfort throughout.

In my spare time, I love books! I also am a big football fan and enjoy running and Pilates.

Leanne graduated with an honours degree in Dentistry from University College Cork in 2018 and has since completed her membership exams with Faculty of Dentistry in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, providing care to adults and children. Her friendly demeanour ensures patients feel at ease at every appointment.
Leanne has a special interest in facial aesthetics and has trained with the renowned Prof. Bob Khanna in the UK. She has a keen aesthetic eye and focuses on subtle, natural enhancements. Leanne is delighted to be able provide Botox and Profhilo treatments to her patients.
Outside of work, Leanne enjoys keeping fit playing tennis and running and spending time in West Cork.

Grace qualified with honors from the Eastman Dental Institute in London. She has over 14 years experience and has worked in practices in London’s Harley Street, Sydney and Toronto. At Cornelscourt Dental we believe in investing in preventative dentistry and Grace makes a major contribution to this. Grace is dedicated to educating and empowering our patients with the knowledge of and desire to maintain excellent oral hygiene with the aim of preventing advanced dental problems. Claire is a registered dental hygienist here at Cornelscourt Dental. Claire completed her Diploma in Dental Hygiene at the Dublin Dental School & Hospital. Previously Claire was a Registered Dental Nurse with a Qualification in Dental Radiography, and has worked with us for many years. Having gained a specialist certificate in oral health promotion from the National University of Galway, Claire holds sessions specifically educating children and teenagers with regard to prevention of dental diseases. This includes diet analysis and customised oral hygiene instruction. Claire’s regular dental hygiene appointments include scaling, polishing and oral hygiene instruction. I’ve have been passionate about dentistry since beginning my career as a dental nurse eight years ago. Graduating from Trinity College Dublin as a Dental Nurse I went on to further my career as a Dental Hygienist In University College Cork. Since graduating I’ve gained vast experience working in all fields of dentistry. I’m fully qualified and competent in taking radiography and administering Local Anaesthetic. My aim is to motivates my patients to maintain their teeth to the highest possible standard. I have a particular interest in paediatric dentistry and all things preventative dentistry. I pride myself for my gentle and enthusiastic approach to dentistry.
